UNIT 2 - PARTS OF THE NUERON
Dendrites: Dendrites are branches that reach out to receive messages from other neurons.
Cell body: The cell body contains the nucleus and is the neuron’s main control center. The cell body listens to the messages from other neurons and decides when to fire a signal to send the message on.
Axon: The axon carries the signal down the neuron to the synapse where the message will be sent.
Synapse: The synapse is the space between neurons where messages are sent to another neuron.
